The Academy of Hawaiian Arts is proud to support the Iā ʻOe E Ka Lā Hula Competition & Festival. Sponsored by the Kumu Hula Association of Northern California, the annual event is the oldest hula festival held outside of the State of Hawai’i. The competition and festival attracts over 8,000 visitors annually and celebrates Hawaiian culture and traditions with solo and group hula competition, arts and crafts, and food.
AHA will be hosting a food booth at the festival… come by to say hello and enjoy a bowl of saimin with a tasty spam musubi (or two!).
