1st Annual Crab Feed (Jan 2006)

On Sunday, January 22nd and January 29th, AHA dancers hosted thier first all-you-can-eat Crab Feed in the Snow Building at the Oakland Zoo.

The lucky 250 guests enjoyed thier fill of fresh seasonal crab, hula costumes modeled by AHA dancers, presentations of hula and music and a night full of auctions. A great time was had by all and AHA has since decided to make it an annual event.

'Alua with special guests, Makaha Sons
(Nov 2005)

The second annual ho'ike was the premier for Kumu Mark’s new mele and hula on the theme of fishing. Held at the Chabot College Center for the Performing Arts in Hayward, California, Master Chanter Charles Ka'upu was Master of Ceremonies and AHA's featured guest artists were the Makaha Sons.

Hookahi

Ho'okahi (Nov 2004)

AHA’s first all-halau ho’ike showcasing kahiko (ancient), ‘auana (modern), and keiki (children’s) hula, as well as Kumu Ho’omalu’s distinctive style of chant.

Ke Ao HOu

AHA’s premiere, sold-out performance of hula and chant in Hayward, CA. The night began with a performance by Hawai'i's own Hapa and culminated in a colorful array of AHA dances.
